But what about the earlier rounds you ask? Well, I was on the fence about whether or not I'd share my progress on this challenge at all. By the time I decided I had a story to share, I'd already played quite a bit of my Sims. Even now, I'm still not sure I'm going to be any good at this.

Brynja whimpered in her sleep and clung to her mate Polycarp tighter. She dreamed of fire, taking away all she held dear. He murmured in his sleep and ran a hand over her hair and for a moment she calmed, but all too soon, the nightmare was back again and she left the cave to watch the ocean in the moonlight.
Polycarp had found her gathering herbs outside the village and she was so enamored with him, she came back to his valley as his mate. They'd grown their family quickly and now had three boys and a girl, and another baby on the way.
The nightmare chased away by the soothing waves, she went back inside to sleep only to waken when her water broke. The sun was a faint glow on the horizon when baby Julia was born into the world.
Author's Note Part 2: A random fire started in the middle of the night in the children's cave. Polycarp managed to put it out and everyone went back to sleep for a little bit when yet another fire started in the children's cave in a new spot. Again Polycarp managed to put it out. Julia was born shortly afterwards, but then the game crashed and I lost everything that had happened. In the reload, there was only one fire, started by Polycarp because he was a little overheated. I didn't want to waste the pic I'd gotten of the first fire though so yeah, nightmares.
